Local arts and crafts offer plenty of opportunities to shop for hidden treasures. The Shop Howard is a great place to pick up a professional photograph, while the Bon Ton is the tourist's choice for purchasing fabrics. If you want something unique, the Moon Shop sells terrariums in glass jars.

Getting around

Public transport around George Town is primarily by bus, operated by the Rapid Penang. Taking a trishaw is a real sightseeing treat and an efficient form of transportation around the city. The Penang International Airport is located 16 kilometres south of George Town.
